"Why I am still with Unicity" - Great Testimonials From A Couple

Year 2000. I suffered from CRVO – Central Retina Vein Occlusion. My eye vein became clogged and blood stopped flowing to my eye. In fact, I got hemorrhage in the right eye and temporarily lost my right eye vision for 3 hours.

I was recommended to the best eye specialist at Gleneagles Hospital. He suggested numerous tests to find out what caused the problem. He suspected that I might have a heart problem or even diabetes. After all the tests and spending about $5,000 in expenses, he confirms that there is no sign of any heart problem or any high sugar level in my blood. The eye specialist did not prescribe any medication. He said that this is a very rare disease and there is nothing he can help me at that time. He also told me that I would eventually go blind.

Diabesity – The Rising Obesity Epidemic?

The prevalence of both obesity and diabetes continues to rise at an alarming rate.  Given the comorbidity between diabetes and obesity, researchers have coined a new portmanteau of these two words in ‘diabesity’. Specifically, diabesity is defined as diabetes occurring in the context of obesity. It is also commonly referred to as ‘obesity-dependent’ diabetes.

IDF Releases New Dire Diabetes Stats and Projections

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) -- the umbrella organization for 200 diabetes associations in more than 160 countries -- just released its 2013 Diabetes Atlas. It cites current statistics and the rise of diabetes worldwide.

 

Startling facts and dire projections
Every six seconds (p. 14) someone dies from diabetes.
The greatest number of people with diabetes worldwide are between the ages of 40 and 59.
175 million (p. 11) people are currently undiagnosed and progressing toward complications unaware.  
The research shows one in 10 of the world's population will have diabetes by 2035.
The number of people with diabetes globally will increase by 55 percent (p. 13) by 2035.

Number of diabetics in Malaysia alarming
 

 

An alarming 3.6 million adults are estimated to be affected by diabetes in Malaysia, according to the Obesity Prevention Council President, Jong Koi Chong.
Jong said compared to 2006 where only 8.6 per cent adults in Malaysia had diabetes, the most recent study done in 2011 showed 15.2 per cent adults were diabetic.
Dr Ikram Shah said Malaysia had surpassed the World Health Organisation’s estimation of 807,000 diabetics in 2025.

The difference between Being Rich and Financial Freedom

• Being Rich merely means having a lot of money to spend. You can only be rich at a high level of income, and the only way for a rich person to accomplish anything is to pay for it. Obviously, paying for it makes the person less rich and therefore rich people have to work hard or eventually run out of money.
• FINANCIAL FREEDOM define financial freedom as not needing to worry about money. Money shouldn’t be a dominating force in making decisions in your personal or professional life. 

A good way to view financial freedom is another type of freedom most people in the  Western world enjoy: freedom from hunger. As a human being, I need to eat to survive. But the relative abundance of food in my life has meant hunger is never a driving force in my decisions. If food were scarce, getting enough to eat would probably occupy all of my thoughts.

Being financially free, is the same as being free from hunger. Money will always play a role in your life. But you are free when it no longer becomes the dominating influence on your goals.
